The Out Crowd
Growing up, Scott keenly observed an obvious contrast between the “in crowd” or an “out crowd”. As a shy and introverted kid, not being part of the “in crowd” didn’t come as a huge surprise to him and taught him the importance of having empathy for people who were taken advantage of.
Scott carried this valuable lesson into adulthood, and after witnessing someone he knew, who was trying to make good financial decisions, be devastated by total financially loss, Scott found his calling. He never again wanted to see the collapse of another person’s wealth, retirement or legacy.
There Are Bullies Everywhere
After working for a number of years with a large financial service firm, Scott found those social dynamics of the “in crowd” and “out crowd” stll existed and bullies, those who were willing to take advantage of others for their own gain, were truly everywhere. He didn’t feel comfortable promoting products that may not have been in the best interest or an ideal fit for the people he served. Scott knew they was another way.
